**Job Title:** Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in the London borough of Barking and Dagenham. As a SEN TA, you will provide social, emotional, and cognitive support to students with various SEMH-related needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide individualized support to students with SEN, focusing on developing their social, emotional, and cognitive skills
* Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider community professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive support
* Contribute to creating a progressive and welcoming learning environment
* Work with students in various year groups with learning disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, and Mental Health needs

* Our primary school is located in the London borough of Barking and Dagenham, offering a tight-knit community and supportive team
* Easily accessible by public transport and street parking is available close to the site
* We have a high conversion rate of graduates who started as SEN TAs to now practicing Psychologists
* Regular training is provided, including Safeguarding and SEN Awareness

**Ideal Candidate:**

* Academic individual with a degree in a related field
* Prior experience working with students is ideal but not essential
* Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential
* Empathetic, proactive, and ambitious individual
* Aspiring to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counselling, or Pastoral Work
