We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our team as a Senior Clinical Lead for Gerontological Care at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to lead our Older People's nursing services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Clinical Expertise
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the care of older people, particularly those with dementia, delirium, and frailty.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes.
- Education and Training
- Design and deliver education and training programs for nurses and allied health professionals.
- Maintain and expand connections with educational and academic providers.
- Service Development and Improvement
- Drive enhancements in service quality and patient experience for older people in hospital settings and care homes.
- Engage in service development, research, and evaluation.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead the Dementia and Delirium Team, the Frailty Practitioner Lead, and the Kings Older People's Admission and Liaison (KOPAL) Lead.
- Foster a supportive, person-centered, and motivational approach to team leadership.
- Education and Qualifications
- RN1: Adult nurse, level 1.
- Management qualification or significant senior management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Evidence of post-registration education at degree level in a relevant specialty.
- Engaged in or committed to doctoral qualification.
- Knowledge and Experience
- In-depth experience working in a specialized clinical capacity and as a senior clinical leader.
- Experience in clinical practice development and implementing continuous quality improvement methodologies to enhance services.
- Strong interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail.
