Job Title: 3rd Line Network Engineer

Location:
Bristol (Hybrid, 2 days in the office)

Salary:
Up to £45,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Network Engineer looking to take on a more challenging role? Our client, a leading company in Bristol, is seeking a 3rd Line Network Engineer to join their team, offering up to £45,000 per year with excellent growth potential.

Be a key player in high-impact networking projects and upgrades

Key Responsibilities:
Provide 3rd line support for complex network issues across LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
Troubleshoot and resolve high-level networking problems, ensuring system reliability and performance.
Maintain and manage network security, monitoring, and optimisation.
Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to deliver seamless network services and upgrades.
Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to a collaborative and learning-focused environment

Key Skills:
Strong experience with Cisco/Juniper routers and switches.
Proficiency in configuring firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.) and VPN technologies.
Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and security best practices.
Experience in network monitoring and performance tools

Desirable:
Network certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent.
Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
Experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
