About the Role

The Senior Sous Chef is a key member of the culinary team at The Lygon Arms, a prestigious coaching inn in the picturesque town of Broadway. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation in our two restaurants, Grill and Tavern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Ensure that all ingredients used are of the highest quality and meet the standards set by the Head Chef.
  • Assist with the training and development of the kitchen brigade, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Control wastage and maintain food costs, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant team to ensure a positive and respectful relationship between the two departments.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior or Sous Chef in a high-end hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
