Position Overview: As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for orchestrating and scheduling activities aimed at minimizing plant downtime through effective maintenance strategies. Your role will focus on enhancing the efficiency of both weekday and weekend operational plans to maximize resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Planned Maintenance system, ensuring it is comprehensive and precise.
  • Establish completion timelines and assess manpower/trade needs.
  • Implement calendar or running hour-based Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules, tailored to the operational hours of specific plants or lines.
  • Utilize work plans and maintenance systems to meet target completion rates.
  • Provide weekly reports on departmental performance metrics.
  • Monitor Repair and Maintenance (R&M) expenditures and assist the Area Engineering Manager.

Additional Duties:

  • Work on-site, reporting directly to the Site Services Manager.
  • Manage weekend and midweek engineering workloads and resource allocations for PM tasks.
  • Maintain all data within the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system.
  • Ensure compliance reporting, workload assessments, and backlog information are accurate.
  • Guarantee the quality of PPM data.
  • Coordinate ongoing enhancements of the PPM system through regular evaluations with key stakeholders and Maintenance Leads.
  • Prepare engineering scorecards with a focus on maintenance costs.
