Senior Regulatory Lawyer Opportunity

MRA Search is proud to present a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Regulatory Lawyer to join a well-established wealth and asset manager in London. As a key member of the legal team, you will provide expert guidance and advice on regulatory matters, working closely with senior management to navigate the complex regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting and advising on regulations issued by relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Providing primary legal resource for all regulatory queries relating to the business.
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are compliant with the ever-evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Liaising closely with the Compliance team in implementing regulatory compliance programs.
  • Delivering expert counsel on intricate regulatory matters, including custodial, licensing, and risk management.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other related documentation in line with regulatory obligations.
  • Acting as lead counsel on legal formation and launch of investment funds across various asset classes.
  • Identifying and mitigating associated legal risks associated with fund operations and investments.
  • Providing timely and accurate counsel on regulatory changes and their related consequences as they pertain to the wider business.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in regulatory law, preferably in a regulated institution.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
