Sales Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at SS&C Technologies Holdings. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.
- Act as a subject matter expert on our solutions, providing technical guidance and support to sales teams and customers.
- Identify and prioritize customer business issues, developing tailored solutions to address their needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define sales strategies and develop targeted sales materials.
- Design and deliver customized solution demonstrations, showcasing the value of our solutions to customers.
- Effectively communicate the differentiating value of our solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise on product integration strategy, working closely with customers to ensure seamless integration with their internal applications and third-party technologies.
- Set clear expectations with customers regarding implementation timeframes and resources required to achieve success.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in demand creation events, such as seminars, trade shows, and conferences, to promote our solutions and build relationships with customers.
- Contribute to the development of sales materials, including case studies, whitepapers, and sales sheets.
- Travel up to 65% of the time, depending on sales coverage models, to engage with customers and drive sales growth.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of portfolio and investment accounting for middle and back-office workflow and operations.
- Working knowledge of the asset management industry and its trends.
- Experience with SS&C Advent software products or consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to relate technical advantages to business benefits.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong objection handling skills, with the ability to understand and address customer concerns.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Computer Science is highly desirable.
