HR Advisor Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. As an HR Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the People Manager with all generalist aspects of the role, ensuring that all business needs are met across all areas/divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coach and mentor Managers to up-skill and develop their leadership abilities.
  2. Support and coach Managers through disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
  3. Provide expert advice to employees and Managers on employment-related issues, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  4. Manage absence cases, including long- and short-term absences, to minimize disruption to the business.
  5. Oversee the recruitment and on-boarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new employees.
  6. Support the business and wider HR department with managing change processes, driving cultural transformation and improvement.
  7. Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to inform business decisions and drive activity.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  9. Conduct reviews of internal reward and benefits packages to ensure they remain competitive and aligned with business objectives.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience of managing ER caseloads, with a strong understanding of employment law.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  3. Able to work independently, using initiative and managing own diary to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  4. Coaching and training experience, with a focus on developing Managers and employees.
  5. Full driving license, with the ability to travel to various locations as required.
