Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Chepping View Primary Academy. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, social, and developmental needs of our children.
Main Responsibilities:- Support learning in class for small groups and 1 to 1 during and outside of teacher input
- Support pupils with additional needs with their specific learning goals, including those with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Help children to develop both socially, emotionally, and academically
- Support pupils with their reading, writing, and maths
- Provide verbal feedback to pupils, helping to move their learning on
- Promote the inclusion of different cultures and life experiences
- Manage behaviour and routines within the academy behaviour policy
- Prepare resources and activities as necessary, supporting the teacher with administrative tasks such as changing reading books
- Carry out medical duties (training will be provided)
- Support children for part of lunch time
- Contribute to the safeguarding culture of the academy and ensure children are safe in school
- Contribute to the Chepping View staff team effectively
