Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing and reporting for 1900 employees, both on-shore and off-shore. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Payroll.

  • Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and out of cycle payroll for multi-state exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on payroll-related matters, including new hires, terminations, changes in status, and benefits.
  • Work closely with other departments to facilitate timely processing of hourly employees, including verifying overtime hours, paid time off, and leaves of absence.
  • Prepare and circulate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as create ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Review, reconcile, and distribute annual W-2s and other regulatory reports.
  • Manage and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues with urgency.
  • Prepare payroll journal entries and payroll-related cash and accrual journal entries.
  • Reconcile payroll and benefit-related accounts to source data.
  • Stay up-to-date on new legislation impacting payroll and recommend changes to processes, controls, and systems as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing experience.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information and maintain payroll and employee personal information confidentiality.
