Payroll and Invoicing Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll, Invoicing and General Accounts specialist to join our team.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll and Invoicing including the use of Sage software. This role requires proficiency in various payroll systems and software, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills.
The company, offers a family orientated environment, with a culture of looking after its staff; reflected by their low staff turnover and high client retention rates.
**The role is based in North London and will require regular travel to their offices and will therefore be within a reasonable daily commuting distance. **Experience working within a high volume staff count is also an advantage.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Responsibility of the Payroll
- The company uses a Payroll business and you will be uploading the Payroll onto the company’s systems.
- Managing all the Invoicing and record keeping.
- Processing the payments.
- Overseeing the completion of bank and credit card sales reconciliations.
- Managing the company’s credit control
- Assist with production of quarterly VAT returns for Group companies, checking and submission to HMRC
- Ensuring other HMRC submissions and statistical/ONS submissions are made on time
- Generating and compiling monthly Payroll reports, including compliance checks
- Submission of the monthly BACS
- Producing payroll reports, incl records of all absences including sickness, holiday, paternity and maternity payments
- Be the first point of contact for all employee payroll enquiries, incl resolving employee payroll/tax issues
- Management of payroll contributions
- Liaising with the HR and Operations departments
- Actively working on process development to improve productivity and service delivery
- Development and enhancement of financial and payroll controls
- Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service to our all clients internally and externally
**You will have**:
- Previous payroll and accounts within a high volume personnel business.
- Payroll plus Sales & purchase ledger knowledge, and Sage software experience.
- Have a strong understanding of HMRC requirements for payroll processing
- Previous experience of working in a complex and often pressurized environment
- The ability to use your initiative and be pro-active
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
