Position Overview:
We are seeking a Director of Clinical Statistics to become a vital part of our Specialty and Primary Care Statistics team at GlaxoSmithKline.

Role Summary:
As a key player in our organization, you will leverage your statistical expertise to enhance the development of innovative therapies and vaccines across multiple therapeutic areas, including Oncology and Respiratory Health. Your contributions will be instrumental in advancing our mission to improve patient outcomes globally.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques to inform product strategies throughout their lifecycle, focusing on clinical trial design and analysis.
  • Establish and communicate statistical strategies that align with overarching product goals.
  • Engage with external experts and regulatory bodies to advocate for robust statistical methodologies.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of statistical data presented to stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing clinical study findings.
  • Conduct pooled analyses of clinical trials and observational studies to derive meaningful insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of clinical programs.
  • Provide mentorship and training on statistical practices across the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and best practices in statistical governance.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • A Master's degree in Statistics or Biostatistics with extensive experience, or a PhD demonstrating leadership in statistical applications within drug development.
  • Proven ability to lead in a collaborative environment, influencing key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and a commitment to applying innovative statistical methods.
  • Experience in presenting complex statistical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Attributes:
Ideal candidates will also have:
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical methodologies such as Bayesian analysis and machine learning.
  • Experience in developing treatments for respiratory conditions.
