Job Summary

The Homeless Casework Service is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Resilience Housing Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Resilience Team, you will work collaboratively with partners to move households into suitable housing and improve housing sustainment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert casework to applicants experiencing domestic abuse, ensuring all aspects of casework are carried out in accordance with legislation, strategies, policies, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve outcomes for domestic abuse survivors with housing needs.
  • Contribute to the dissemination and embedding of safeguarding best practice across the wider Housing Advisory Service.
  • Develop and maintain accurate client records and notes of all casework activities and decisions.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Significant experience of providing specialist homelessness casework to homeless applicants with complex needs, such as survivors of domestic abuse.
  • Ability to consistently deliver high levels of customer service to homeless applicants with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of welfare, homelessness, and housing policy, strategies, legislation, and case law, and its implementation within a statutory homelessness service.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse and safeguarding best practice, including policy, strategies, legislation, and case law, and its implementation within a statutory homelessness service.
