Job Title: Registered General/ITU/A&E Nurse

We are currently recruiting experienced ITU/A&E nurses to support an NHS trust in Cheshire.

About the Role:

As an A&E and ITU nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the A&E and ITU departments
  • Assist patients with their activities of daily living, including regular assessment and monitoring of vital signs
  • Perform different types of observations and use of monitoring systems, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and feeding pumps
  • Administer medication and care for patients receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
  • Prioritize care and recognize patient deterioration, escalating care as necessary
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
  • Work as part of a team to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Make appropriate referrals and keep accurate and timely patient records
  • Work under pressure and problem-solve to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
Requirements:
  • Registered nurse with a current NMC pin
  • Relevant nursing qualifications
  • 6 months recent experience in A&E and ITU nursing
  • 2 clinical references that cover 3 years of work experience
