Position Title:

Safety Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Commitment to Excellence:
Actively engage in and promote the organization's commitment to excellence through thorough analysis of root causes utilizing Lean Techniques. Maintain awareness of personal and collective safety to cultivate a safer workplace environment.

Promotion of EHS Culture:

Collaborate with team members at all levels to nurture a robust EHS culture through behavioral observations, coaching, effective communication, and active engagement.

Support the creation, execution, and upkeep of management systems that align with recognized EHS certifications and standards in partnership with the Head of EHS.


Leadership in Projects:

Oversee specific projects involving cross-functional team members at the site or across various group locations, applying expertise and guidance as directed by the Head of EHS.


Regulatory Compliance:
Aid in managing departmental operations to ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and other EHS obligations. Facilitate the assessment of EHS legal compliance as necessary.
Staff Development and Training: Identify EHS training needs, track compliance, and ensure availability of resources. Conduct specific EHS training, including site orientation, throughout the organization.

Management of Risk Assessments:

Oversee the site risk assessment register, track action completion, approve risk assessments generated by management, and assist in the completion of specialized risk assessments.

Management of Aspects and Impacts: Maintain a log of site aspects and impacts to identify risks and opportunities, and agree on necessary actions.


Monitoring System Effectiveness:

Ensure that systems are established to monitor, measure, and validate effectiveness through evaluation, identifying and addressing non-conformities through corrective action procedures.


Input for EHS Projects:
Provide EHS insights for projects and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Previous experience in a comparable Health and Safety managerial position is essential.
