Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team. As an EHS Coordinator, you will be instrumental in ensuring our Hull site operates to the highest regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • EHS Management: Oversee all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities on-site, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Safety Culture Leadership: Lead initiatives to cultivate a strong safety and health culture within the plant, promoting best practices and safe working conditions across all teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Act as the primary liaison with government agencies on EHS matters, ensuring all necessary permits, reports, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs, including the Behaviour Based Safety Program, and contribute to the development of the site's five-year strategic plan.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present EHS data for weekly meetings, and ensure timely communication of group health, safety, and environmental reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience: A strong background in Environmental Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment in the food or chemical processing industry.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH or IOSH is essential. A minimum HNC or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
