Outcomes First Group is seeking a Lead Childcare Practitioner to support our mission in providing exceptional care for young individuals.

Position: Lead Childcare Practitioner

Compensation: £25,827.11 per annum

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Location: Telford, Shropshire

Requirements: A valid UK driving licence, access to a personal vehicle, and the legal right to work in the UK.

Welcome Bonus: Receive a £1,000 Welcome Bonus, distributed as £500 after one month of service and an additional £500 after successfully completing a six-month probation period.

  • Base Salary: £25,827.11 per annum
    • Sleep-in shifts compensated at £45.00 per night
  • Welcome Bonus: A £1,000 Welcome Bonus, with £500 awarded after one month and another £500 after six months of successful service.

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Lead Residential Childcare Practitioner to enhance our residential care team, ensuring a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for the young individuals in our care.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and guiding residential childcare staff, providing mentorship and support to maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Creating and implementing personalized care plans for each young person.
  • Coordinating daily activities within the residential home, including meal times, recreational events, and bedtime routines.
  • Serving as a primary contact for young individuals and their families.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress and well-being of the young people, documenting observations, and reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Essential: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent NVQ qualification.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a residential setting.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young residents.
  • Patience, resilience, and a calm demeanor.
