Outcomes First Group is seeking a Lead Childcare Practitioner in the Shropshire area.

Position: Lead Childcare Practitioner

Compensation: £25,827.11 annually

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours weekly)

Location: Telford, Shropshire

Requirements: A valid UK driving licence, access to a personal vehicle, and the Right to Work in the UK

Welcome Bonus: A £1,000 Welcome Bonus, distributed as £500 after one month of service and an additional £500 after successfully completing a six-month probation period.

  • Base Salary: £25,827.11 annually
    • Sleep-in shifts compensated at £45.00 per night
  • Welcome Bonus: A £1,000 Welcome Bonus, with £500 after one month and another £500 after six months of probation.

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Lead Residential Childcare Practitioner to support our residential care team in fostering a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for the young individuals in our care.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, guiding and supporting staff members, and ensuring the welfare and development of the young people entrusted to you.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising residential childcare staff, offering direction, support, and mentorship to guarantee the highest standard of care for our young residents.
  • Creating and executing personalized care plans for each young person.
  • Coordinating and engaging in the daily activities of the residential home, including mealtimes, recreational pursuits, and bedtime routines.
  • Serving as a primary contact for young individuals and their families.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress and well-being of the young people, documenting observations, and reporting any concerns to the relevant authorities.

Our ideal Lead Residential Childcare Practitioner will possess:

  • Essential: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent NVQ qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in residential care.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
  • Patience, resilience, and a calm demeanor.
