Job Title: Environmental Health Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy city-based team with a wide range of premises and a varied workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake food safety inspections and re-visits to identify areas for improvement and enforcement action.
  • Respond to customer service requests and provide advice on food hygiene practices.
  • Complete inspection reports, establish food hygiene ratings, and prepare schedules of work for food business operators.
  • Investigate complaints relating to poor food hygiene practices and advise businesses on improvements.

Requirements:

  • Experience of undertaking food hygiene inspections and responding to service requests.
  • Food standards and health and safety experience is desirable.
  • Environmental Health Board of Registration Certificate (EHRB) is required.
