Pertemps is seeking a dedicated Lead Operations Supervisor for a prominent role within a leading automotive manufacturing facility.

Role Overview
This position involves supporting site management in the execution of operational cleaning tasks. Key responsibilities include overseeing labor and resource management, equipment operation and maintenance, adherence to Health & Safety protocols, conducting quality audits, and fulfilling administrative responsibilities. A proactive approach to scheduling and the ability to respond to urgent requests from clients is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing all operational cleaning personnel to ensure timely service delivery that surpasses customer expectations within designated areas.
  • Oversee resource allocation for optimal efficiency, both in team settings and individual tasks, while supporting capacity planning efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Paint Shop Manager and other Site Contract Managers to maintain effective supervision of the team, addressing any misconduct or Health & Safety violations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations regarding the operation of equipment.
  • Support the procurement of reliable cleaning equipment.
  • Adhere to all maintenance protocols for cleaning equipment.
  • Conduct internal training sessions for staff.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the management team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in people management.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety management systems.
  • Certification as a Lead Quality Auditor for both first and second parties.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D).
  • Valid driving license.
  • Experience in handling customer inquiries and complaints.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
  • IOSHH Managing Safety certification.
  • Effective delegation skills.
  • Relevant degree.
  • Experience managing staff in an industrial cleaning context.
Skills and Personal Attributes
  • Ability to blend determination with diplomacy to influence peers and team members.
  • Strong management capabilities with excellent self-organization skills.
  • Self-driven to complete tasks comprehensively.
  • Proficient in creating professional documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of conducting process improvement analyses.
  • Adept at preparing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
Additional Information
  • This role includes supervision of five team leaders, overseeing approximately 80 operational staff.
  • Standard working hours are 34.5 hours per week across three fixed days.
  • Flexible weekend shift rotations are available.
