About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EC&I Design Engineer to join our team at Delkia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical and instrumentation systems for safety-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the engineering quality of project delivery, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards.
  • Assist in the production of conceptual designs, optioneering studies, requirements capture, user requirements specification, and use cases.
  • Experience in designing for functional safety systems is desirable.
  • Have experience of lifecycle and maturity management.
  • Quickly self-deliver pragmatic systems solutions from a brief problem statement.
  • Maintain compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.
  • Participate in Design and System Level Reviews.
  • Ensure that subsequent design meets the project and client requirements.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.
  • Ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
  • Support and mentor apprentices / graduates (where appropriate).

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of EC&I design software; e.g. Autocad Electrical, E-Plan P8 or similar.
  • Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a British National.
  • Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software.
  • Plant process knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of one or more of a variety of PES technologies – PLC, SCADA, DCS, SQL Server, Modicon M, MIS/HLS.
