Key Responsibilities
  • Lead SHE Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment) at our Burton site, working closely with the site team and external support functions to enable compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Monitor compliance, policies, procedures, and management systems, providing updates at the monthly management meetings.
  • Be involved in environmental planning, managing external contractors, assisting with SHE investigations, and driving improvements on-site in all SHE areas.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the SHE risk assessment process and assist and advise as needed in developing safe work systems.
  • Drive site SHE programmes, goals, and targets.
  • Coordinate site internal and external SHE Training requirements.
  • Attend regular site Safety Development Group meetings.
  • Coordinate implementing, monitoring, and testing site emergency response plans and any associated training requirements.
  • Assist and advise where required with accident and incident investigation and monitor the follow-up of corrective and preventative actions to closure.
  • Ensure all routine SHE monitoring is completed in accordance with all relevant legislation.
  • Conduct site SHE audits and inspections and coordinate 3rd party audits. Report, monitor, and drive the follow-up of actions.
