Job Title: Import Operations Assistant Manager

At Uniserve Holdings Limited, we are seeking an experienced Import Operations Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our import operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely import of goods into our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Import Operations Oversight: Assist the Import Operations Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of import operations, including coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Import Shipment Coordination: Monitor and track import shipments to ensure compliance with customs regulations and deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving and Resolution: Resolve import-related issues and problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Import Data Analysis: Analyze import data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement procedures and processes to improve import operations efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Logistics Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a focus on import operations.
  • Leadership and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Customs Regulations: In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Pricing and Cost Analysis: Experience in pricing and cost analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IPAFFS Experience: IPAFFS experience or knowledge of SPS controls.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills and the ability to set timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
