About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Editorial Director to join our team at McCann Central. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation, curation, and management of high-quality social media campaigns across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies for clients across various industries, considering their target audience, brand identity, and marketing objectives.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Oversee the creation and curation of engaging content, including articles, videos, graphics, and other multimedia formats, for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
  • Art Direction: Provide guidance and direction on the visual aesthetic and creative elements of content, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and visual storytelling principles.
  • Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content across all social media channels.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including account management, creative, and social media management, to align content strategies with overall client objectives and campaigns.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all content meets quality standards, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements, while also optimising for engagement and performance metrics.
  • Industry Research: Stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to continuously innovate and improve content strategies.
Requirements
  • Experience working within Social/PR agencies
  • Knowledge sharing within the department
  • Apply cross-portfolio learnings to improve all their brand content
  • A strong eye for design
  • In-depth understanding of how to use analytics & data to inform content creation
  • In-depth knowledge of platforms and platform updates
  • Flawless editing & proofing skills
  • Experienced at storyboarding & building narrative structure for longer-form edits
  • Experience in nurturing and managing a team
  • Confident attending and presenting in client-facing meetings
  • In-depth knowledge of how to orchestrate the relationships between owned, earned and paid media
  • Demonstrable experience of measuring the impact of work post-publication
