We are seeking an experienced Editorial Director to join our team at McCann Central. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation, curation, and management of high-quality social media campaigns across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Content Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies for clients across various industries, considering their target audience, brand identity, and marketing objectives.
- Content Creation and Curation: Oversee the creation and curation of engaging content, including articles, videos, graphics, and other multimedia formats, for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
- Art Direction: Provide guidance and direction on the visual aesthetic and creative elements of content, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and visual storytelling principles.
- Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content across all social media channels.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including account management, creative, and social media management, to align content strategies with overall client objectives and campaigns.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all content meets quality standards, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements, while also optimising for engagement and performance metrics.
- Industry Research: Stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to continuously innovate and improve content strategies.
- Experience working within Social/PR agencies
- Knowledge sharing within the department
- Apply cross-portfolio learnings to improve all their brand content
- A strong eye for design
- In-depth understanding of how to use analytics & data to inform content creation
- In-depth knowledge of platforms and platform updates
- Flawless editing & proofing skills
- Experienced at storyboarding & building narrative structure for longer-form edits
- Experience in nurturing and managing a team
- Confident attending and presenting in client-facing meetings
- In-depth knowledge of how to orchestrate the relationships between owned, earned and paid media
- Demonstrable experience of measuring the impact of work post-publication
