About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SaaS Technical Lead to join our Application Services function, driving the growth and strategic direction of our SaaS Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise in the configuration, deployment, standardization, and management of SaaS-based technologies and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Deliver strong technical leadership in advancing our Group Functions SaaS capability and delivery, ensuring alignment to standards in quality, development lifecycle, security, service continuity, commercial outcomes, governance, policy, processes, and tools.
  • Team Management: Develop and lead a high-performing team, nurturing individual growth, and acting as a mentor and coach to team members, providing guidance on technical skills, career development, and personal growth.
  • Technical Excellence: Lead and ensure the technical excellence of the SaaS Capability by staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, working in strong collaboration with the Architecture team.
  • Solution Design and Delivery: Work with IT operations, data and analytics, architecture, and security teams to ensure that solutions are designed and delivered against the enterprise architecture, SaaS standards, security standards, and successfully transition into production.
  • SaaS Delivery Roadmap: Lead, develop, and evolve a SaaS Delivery Roadmap, taking into consideration all work taking place within the capability, such as Patching, Upgrades, Projects, Change, and Critical Change Freeze periods, working in strong collaboration with the Group Technology, Portfolio, Product Managers, and Architecture Team.
  • IT Delivery Sourcing Strategy: Contribute to the IT delivery sourcing strategy that both complements and supplements the internal IT Solutions team, considering skills, people development, costs, and customer demand, and take an active lead in the management of third-party delivery partners, ensuring compliance to standards and effective delivery in relation to SaaS Services.
  • Business Performance Metrics: Set clear vision and goals for SaaS Capability, define and track key business performance metrics for the Capability, ensuring alignment with Organizational goals and Objectives.
  • Resource Planning: Work with the Portfolio and Product Management team to plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring the SaaS Capability has the necessary skills, flexibility, and capacity to meet objectives.
  • Service Management: Work in collaboration with the Service Management team to develop and maintain a Service Catalogue for SaaS Service with aligned service standards (KPI/SLAs), ensuring capability is in place to deliver against commitments and that service standards are achieved and continuously improved.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive proactive continuous improvements within the SaaS Capability service to increase resilience, reduce risk, improve customer satisfaction, and drive down total cost of ownership.
Requirements
  • Application Management Background: Strong Application Management background with expertise in Cloud, Software Development, Web Technologies, Integration, and data security.
  • Governance Frameworks: Knowledge of Governance frameworks, policies, controls, security features, and best practices related to SaaS Services.
  • Patch and Upgrade Management: Strong understanding of Patch and Upgrade Management for SaaS services.
  • Supplier Management: Strong supplier management capability enabling maximum value from contractual arrangements.
  • Subscription Approaches: Knowledge of different subscription approaches for SaaS-based Application services.
  • Data Management Principles: Understanding of data management principles for storing, processing, and reporting on data generated by SaaS applications.
  • Monitoring and Management Services: Understanding of monitoring and management services for tracking performance, availability, and health of resources and applications.
  • Application Portfolio Management: Understanding of Application Portfolio Management to drive efficiency in total cost of ownership and complexity.
  • On-Premises and SaaS Computing Environments: A strong and practical understanding of both on-premises and SaaS computing environments.
