Purchasing Assistant

Job Summary
Murray Recruitment is seeking an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join our client's team in a permanent role. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and the purchase ledger team to ensure the smooth operation of the purchasing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and issuing purchase orders in accordance with company procedures
- Obtaining quotations for materials and services as required
- Matching goods received notes to purchase orders to ensure accuracy
- Collaborating with the Purchase Ledger team to resolve invoice queries
- Liaising with business unit personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary
- Assisting with the maintenance of the CAFM system
- Compiling data for business reporting purposes
- Performing general administrative tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Excel
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
What We Offer
- Salary dependent on experience
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch break)
- Office-based or hybrid setup available after training
- 35 days of annual leave
