About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. As a Social Worker, you will work with children and young people who have significant and profound disabilities, providing specialist support and guidance to ensure their needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of children and young people with disabilities, identifying areas where specialist intervention is required.
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of children and young people, working closely with families and other professionals.
  • Provide direct support to children and young people, using suitable methods to communicate and engage with them.
  • Collaborate with health, education, and other colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to meeting the needs of children and young people.
Requirements
  • Hold a Social Work qualification and have completed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have relevant experience working with children and young people with disabilities, ideally in a specialist setting.
  • Be able to work across two London Boroughs, with the team based in Chessington and covering Richmond and Kingston.
  • Be a team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals.
