Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Officer to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring the smooth delivery of facilities management services, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Management: Assist the Building Services Manager in the delivery of hard and soft FM services across the depot, including supervision of the maintenance operative and management of in-house repairs.
- Team Leadership: Act as Team Leader and work alongside the maintenance operative to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring that jobs are completed to a high standard and within a reasonable time scale.
- Contractor Management: Supervise external contractors to ensure they are working safely on site and jobs are completed satisfactorily.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and faults, ensuring that the site is health and safety compliant and fit for purpose.
- Expenditure Management: Monitor and control expenditure on building materials and FM consumables.
- Fire Safety: Conduct weekly and monthly tests on fire equipment, generators, hydrant pumps, etc.
- Experience: Good all-round knowledge of delivering FM services in a pressurized environment, with experience of managing in-house repairs and supervising external contractors.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with minimum supervision and use own discretion.
- Knowledge: Good knowledge of health and safety in relation to premises management, with the ability to develop and sustain strong, professional working relationships with other service teams and external contractors.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to prioritize work to meet conflicting demands.
