Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a one-form entry Primary school in Tring. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and providing a positive learning environment for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in all areas of the primary curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning environment
  • Manage behaviour and support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and presenting lessons
  • Support in lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all pupils
  • Work with small groups and 1:1
  • Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentations and maintain discipline
