Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Baggage & Logistics team at Terminal 5. As a key influencer within the Management team, you will be responsible for delivering a safe, punctual, and world-class operation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Manage the Operation: You will be responsible for leading the Ground Operations team in the Below Wing Operations area for baggage & logistics, ensuring a safe and efficient operation 365 days a year.
- Safety and Compliance: You will act as a management representative during safety events and ensure accurate reporting and duty of care processes are followed at all times.
- Team Leadership: You will work alongside our Heathrow safety and security team to role model and champion safety behaviors and challenge non-compliance.
- Operational Excellence: You will focus on ensuring the team achieves outstanding standards, adopting continuous improvement while maintaining an unwavering dedication to safety and managing the operation in times of disruption.
You will bring significant operational experience, strong people management, coaching, and leadership skills. You will have a deep understanding of trade unions, people policy, and processes. You will be able to hold an airside pass and have a full UK manual driver's license with no more than 3 points.
