Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and deliver multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute multi-discipline projects related to hydrocarbon storage tanks and piping.
  2. Progress projects from scope definition to commissioning.
  3. Act as a safety champion, driving standards and supporting incident investigations.
  4. Liaise with stakeholders across the business.
  5. Manage project modifications and changes, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.
  6. Oversee project cost control, scheduling, and forecasting.
  7. Ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
  8. Develop engineering specifications and prepare Scopes-of-Work for tenders.
  9. Evaluate and manage technical queries and design changes.
  10. Commission equipment safely and integrate into site operations.
Qualifications:
  1. Degree in Engineering (preferably chartered status).
  2. Strong experience in project engineering or management.
  3. Knowledge of storage tank overhauls, repairs, and cleaning methods.
  4. Familiarity with CDM Regulations and COMAH.
  5. Experience in oil & gas or other regulated industries.
  6. Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX legislation.
  7. Effective leadership and communication skills.
  8. Ability to work in restricted areas, at height, and in confined spaces.
  9. Full UK driving licence.
