Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team based out of Phoenix House, Stockton on Tees. As a result of an increasing portfolio of projects, this exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our diverse range of clients and business sectors through the full project lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning. Our team of approximately 140 based in the office offers Project Management and multi-engineering delivery capability. We offer a range of solutions, including clean energy (green hydrogen and fusion), effluent treatment, steam generation, and nuclear decommissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering solutions for complex engineering projects, from concept design proposals through to design for manufacture, the full project life cycle. Key responsibilities include identifying design, statutory and regulatory requirements, and contributing to risk assessments. The candidate will also present engineering solutions to stakeholders and as part of design reviews. Minimum requirements include a degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HNC/HND with significant experience) in an engineering discipline.
