Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing care and support to patients with breast cancer and benign breast conditions.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide expert advice on treatment options.
  • Develop and deliver education programs for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with a first-level degree in a related subject.
  • Post-basic qualification in breast cancer or a relevant subject.
  • Strong evidence of continual professional development.
  • Completed formal advanced communication skills training.
  • Recognized teaching qualification.
  • Principles and Practice of Breast Care Nursing.
  • Relevant post-registration experience in breast or a closely related subject.
  • Knowledge and awareness of the breast cancer pathway.
  • Experience of multi-professional working in breast or a closely related specialty.
