About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within our multidisciplinary team to provide expert care to patients with breast cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, clinical, and innovative care delivery within a multi-professional team.
  • Act as an ambassador for the breast clinical nurse specialists team, promoting excellence in breast cancer care.
  • Develop and deliver programmes of specialist education and training to healthcare professionals, patients, and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare colleagues to develop and improve breast cancer services.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with a first-level degree in a related subject.
  • Post-basic qualification in breast cancer or a relevant subject, with a willingness to undertake further training.
  • Strong evidence of continual professional development, including advanced communication skills training and a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Relevant post-registration experience at Band 5 or above in breast or a closely related specialty.
  • Knowledge and awareness of the breast cancer pathway, including experience of multi-professional working in breast or a closely related specialty.
