About the Role

The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to:

Effectively manage a large team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

  • Enforce the highest standards of culinary excellence and kitchen hygiene.
  • Develop and implement effective rostering strategies to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Train, develop, and recruit a high-performing team of chefs.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the kitchen, including layout and design.
  • Manage food costs and inventory to ensure responsible and sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with the gardening team to develop and implement a comprehensive food plan.
  • Work with the marketing team to showcase the culinary story of Mise en Place.
  • Engage with the community through events and initiatives that promote the company's values and mission.
  • Develop and implement progression plans for full-time staff, promoting career growth and development.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality food products that meet the company's standards.
  • Monitor and adapt HACCP plans to ensure the highest level of food safety and quality.
  • Optimize kitchen operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish relationships with culinary training institutions to attract top talent from across Europe and beyond.
  • Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including department meetings and new team member inductions.
