Position Overview

In this role, reporting to a seasoned Renewable Energy Procurement lead, you will assist our clients in executing significant capital programs and projects aimed at advancing green technologies to offer more sustainable energy solutions for consumers and the broader community. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about renewable energy and major capital projects to join our expanding Procurement team within Contract Services across our UK offices, in response to the growing demand for our expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide procurement support across various programs, projects, and commissions, aiding clients in achieving improved green and sustainable outcomes across diverse renewable energy asset types.
  • Enhance client performance and meet targets across essential capital procurement themes.
  • Contribute to the development of renewable energy procurement services offered by Turner & Townsend.
  • Assist in business development efforts for renewable energy procurement and the marketing needs of the broader Contract Services capability.
  • Support the achievement of both team and overall business objectives at Turner & Townsend.
We seek individuals with expertise in embedding excellence in end-to-end procurement activities, alongside core competencies and experience in procurement, supply chain management, and/or contract management. This includes a blend of the following:
  • Development and implementation of procurement strategies for major capital programs and projects.
  • Contract management.
  • Supply chain intelligence.
  • Supplier evaluation methodologies.
  • Supply chain management.
  • Contract terms, negotiation, and award processes.
Experience in one or more of the following technologies is advantageous but not mandatory:
  • Hydro-Electric

Qualifications

To deliver value for our clients, we are looking for candidates with a combination of the following:
  • A degree in a relevant field such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or similar disciplines.
  • Progress towards or willingness to work towards at least a Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
  • Security Clearance (SC) - currently valid or could be reinstated, not essential.
Experience
  • Broad procurement consulting experience gained from client, contractor, or professional services organizations.
  • Familiarity with key responsible sourcing areas, including human rights, environmental concerns, health and safety, anti-bribery & corruption, and labor practices.
  • Good understanding of the UK and international energy sector, related technologies, and regulatory frameworks is desirable.
  • Proven experience in successful supplier engagement.
