MacGregor Black is collaborating with a Food Production organization to identify a Strategic Procurement Specialist for UKI & Europe. This is a permanent opportunity.
In the role of Strategic Procurement Specialist for UKI & Europe, your focus will be on achieving exceptional outcomes and establishing a competitive edge for the organization. You will play a key role in shaping the regional category strategy while overseeing the sourcing process and introducing innovative solutions through effective methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement cost-saving initiatives across regional expenditures and promote value enhancement strategies within the category.
- Engage proactively with team members to comprehend current and future needs and align on a cohesive strategy.
- Develop and execute regional category strategies aimed at achieving cost savings, ensuring supply continuity, and fostering innovation and sustainability.
- Provide insights and impact assessments to Global Procurement teams to support overarching procurement strategies and execute them regionally.
- Act in alignment with and embody the One Procurement Community (OPC) to facilitate the journey towards Procurement Excellence.
- Manage a wide range of procurement responsibilities encompassing category strategy and supply chain management.
Qualifications Required
- Degree qualification or proven experience in procurement.
- Prior experience in Indirect Procurement.
- Comprehensive understanding of sourcing methodologies and the ability to lead the end-to-end sourcing process.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and influencing skills with a confident presence.
- Proactive attitude and the ability to drive results effectively.
- Strong project management and organizational change skills.
- Robust analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Experience in Professional Services, HR, Travel, or IT sectors.
- Familiarity with SAP systems.
