About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Functional Skills Cover Tutor at HMP Norwich. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality training to small groups of prison-based learners, helping them to develop their skills, knowledge, and behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Functional Skills training to learners, ensuring that training plans are in place and that advice and guidance are provided as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the learners' needs, goals, and aspirations, and provide tailored support to help them achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that training is delivered to the highest standard, engaging learners and promoting their progress.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and resources, ensuring that they are relevant, effective, and meet the needs of learners.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Maths and English, or equivalent qualification.
  • Substantial experience in delivering training, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners and promote their progress.
  • Desirable: teaching or assessing qualification.
