Overview

We are seeking a fully qualified Plumbing & Gas Tutor/Assessor to join our team at Dovetail & Slate Limited. As a Training Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

Job Purpose

As a Training Officer and Plumbing & Gas Tutor/Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical and practical training in Plumbing and Gas at Level 3 and above. You will also develop and adapt course materials to meet educational standards and industry needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training sessions that meet industry standards and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain course materials, including lesson plans and assessments.
  • Foster relationships with external parties, including industry partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure exceptional safety and quality in your work, leading by example.
  • Support apprentices' safety and welfare throughout their training journey.

Person Specification
  • Fully qualified Plumbing & Gas with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong technical abilities and up-to-date knowledge of plumbing and gas technology.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Strong IT, administrative, and organizational skills.
