Job Title: Director of Software Engineering

The Director of Software Engineering will be responsible for leading the development of next-generation ITAM applications to provide a world-class ITAM services experience. This role will involve creating, refining, and deploying technologies leveraging AWS and common industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a talented cross-functional tech team including software engineers and QA to deliver scalable, low-latency, intelligent software that will have a massive impact for customers.
  • Set attainable goals for each team member to enable projects to be delivered on schedule.
  • Manage multiple projects at once, ensuring appropriate software development procedures and processes are followed.
  • Represent the software development team in meetings and monitor, evaluate, and ensure the completion of tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications and provide technical support to team members.
  • Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality software.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of software design and programming principles, as well as knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team is always using the latest and most effective tools and methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in direct people management of software engineers.
  • 5+ years of experience with building and managing highly scalable reporting platforms.
  • 5+ years Scrum or Agile experience.
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
  • IT Asset Management (ITAM) experience.
  • AWS experience.
  • Coding experience (preferably C#).
