About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team at Rightmove. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our backend engineering efforts and driving the development of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and strategies to drive business growth
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet business requirements
  • Coach and mentor engineers to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices
Requirements
  • Strong technical leadership skills and experience in software engineering
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Java programming language and software development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
