Job Description

Personnel Selection is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Set-Up and Kitting Operative to join our esteemed client, a leading electronics company in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the picking and packing of components, parts, and associated equipment for machine operators to ensure smooth production lines.
  • Control and set up kits, de-kit returns, count back, and communicate with the stores team to maintain efficient inventory management.
  • Work closely with the team to identify and resolve any discrepancies or quality concerns.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including occasional heavy lifting and twisting.
  • Utilize computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Office computer packages, to maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
  • A strong willingness to learn new skills and advance the department and yourself.
  • Experience in picking, packing, or kitting in an engineering environment is ideal but not essential.
  • Experience in a detailed job role is also desirable but not required.
  • Computer competence, numeracy, and literacy are essential.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to highlight discrepancies or quality concerns to supervisors.
  • A positive and methodical approach to work, with a strong commitment to company health and safety guidelines.
  • A stable and dedicated work history, with a strong ability to work as part of a team.
  • Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent.
