Production Setup and Kitting Operative

Personnel Selection Recruitment is seeking a skilled Production Set Up and Kitting Operative to join an established local client in the electronics industry.
Initial training hours will be Monday to Thursday: 08:30-17:00, Friday: 08:30 - 15:30, with a view to transitioning to a permanent Twilight Shift of 1pm to 11pm once trained.
You will be a valuable and key member of the team, assisting with picking components, parts, and associated equipment for Machine Operators to run their lines smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include controlling and setting up kits, de-kitting returns, count back, and communication with the stores team.
While electronic component knowledge is ideal, we are eager to consider applicants who are new to electronics but possess a strong memory, good attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Full training is provided for the role, and to be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- A keen willingness to learn new skills to advance the department and yourself.
Experience of picking, packing, or kitting in an engineering environment is ideal but not essential.
Experience of working in a detailed job role is also ideal but not essential.
Physical fitness is required, as there may be occasional heavy lifting and twisting involved.
Computer competence with Word/Office computer packages is necessary.
Numeracy and literacy are essential.
A strong eye for detail and confidence in highlighting discrepancies or quality concerns to supervisors are required.
A positive and methodical approach to work is essential.
Working within strict company health and safety guidelines is mandatory.
A stable and dedicated work history is necessary.
Self-motivation and good teamwork skills at all levels within the company are required.
Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent is necessary.
Previous use of scopes, verniers, and callipers is ideal but not essential.
Previously held some form of Electronics qualification is desirable but not essential.
