Job Overview

Role Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Academic Support Professional to join our team in a Temporary Teacher capacity. As an Education Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and providing academic support to students in a variety of subjects and year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
  • Adapt and differentiate teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or create your own when necessary.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
  • Support students in their learning and provide feedback to help them achieve their potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and with various age groups.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
