Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, including regular weekend and holiday shifts. Your workdays will be scheduled across 5 out of 7 days, with start times as early as 8 AM and concluding around 6 PM.

Compensation:

The annual salary for this role is £30,000.

Employment Type:

This is a permanent position.

Responsibilities

As the Kitchen Manager, your primary focus will be managing kitchen operations while collaborating closely with the Food and Beverage management team to create enticing menus that highlight local ingredients and adapt to seasonal changes.

You will be tasked with identifying innovative strategies to enhance revenue and achieve financial objectives through effective stock and waste management. A significant portion of your role will involve administrative duties, including order placements and invoice management through an online system.

Your culinary skills will be put to use as you prepare dishes from scratch using fresh, seasonal produce. You should be proficient in baking, preparing soups, stews, and other dishes.

In addition to culinary responsibilities, you will lead and mentor your team, fostering an environment that aligns with the Trust's values and encourages exceptional service to our visitors.

We will provide you with a comprehensive induction tailored to your role, along with training in food safety and allergens, and ongoing professional development opportunities as desired.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager, demonstrating a passion for culinary excellence and a positive demeanor.
  • Confidence in following recipes and batch cooking, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with experience in food safety management systems.
  • Leadership experience, capable of setting objectives and providing constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Awareness of budget management and strategies to optimize income while controlling costs.
  • Familiarity with online ordering systems and inventory management.
