Cardiac Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team at UPMC Whitfield Hospital in Waterford, Ireland.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Coronary Care Unit, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective management of critically ill cardiac patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert cardiology nursing advice and support to patients and colleagues
- Assess, plan, and implement care needs for a defined group of patients
- Deliver and evaluate skilled professional care under the direction of the Department Manager
- Participate in clinical audit and research activity to promote evidence-based practice
- Work closely with the Quality and Patient Safety team to ensure the department meets accreditation standards
- Registered General Nurse with The Nursing and Midwifery Bord of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum of 4 years working in a coronary care setting
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- In-depth experience and knowledge of working within a cardiac care setting
