Job Title: Theatre Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Nurse to join our team at UPMC Whitfield Hospital in Waterford. As a Theatre Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in our operating theatre department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care in the operating theatre, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the operating theatre environment, ensuring a safe and efficient working space.
  • Participate in clinical audits and research activities to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Proven experience in theatre nursing, with a strong understanding of orthopaedic and general theatre procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient safety and quality care.
