Key Responsibilities- Forecasting and Planning: Lead and execute short-term, mid-term, and long-term forecasts for volume performance, creation performance, and margin performance.
- Embedding Forecasting within Sales: Embed volume and creation forecasting within the sales team using a granular, customer-focused approach.
- Commercial Leadership: Provide commercial leadership in the S&OP process, collaborating with supply and transformation leads.
- Logistical Efficiency: Collaborate with the fulfilment performance manager to prioritize delivery based on customer type, profitability, and commercial strategy.
- Customer Prioritization: Prioritize customers based on profitability (in coordination with the head of commercial).
- Supply Chain Optimization: Lead initiatives to improve customer master data and prevent supply outages.
- CAPEX Allocation: Oversee the CAPEX allocation process for new customer creation, working with sales and engineering.
- Market Insights: Analyze and incorporate market insights and external factors into demand planning.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the board on budgeting, planning, and results analysis.
- Inventory Strategies: Provide input on inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
The ideal candidate holds a degree and has over 3 years of experience in a demand planning role within an established S&OP cycle. They possess strong analytical skills, with experience handling large data sets and a proven ability to develop demand forecasting systems.
The candidate has a successful track record of leading cross-functional teams without direct line management, and consistently meeting challenging targets and deadlines. Strong communication, influencing, decision-making, and negotiation skills are essential. Additionally, they demonstrate strong financial awareness, effectively translating data insights into meaningful financial impact.
