Job Description: Principal Graphics Programmer

As a Principal Graphics Programmer at Sumo Digital Ltd, you will collaborate with artists to understand and realize the artistic vision by developing and deploying shaders and materials. You will work closely with cross-discipline teams to communicate and implement cutting-edge graphics techniques, ensuring visual effects are optimized without sacrificing quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy shaders and materials to bring artistic visions to life.
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to implement cutting-edge graphics techniques.
  • Conduct high-level performance captures and direct optimization efforts across multiple disciplines.
  • Design and implement high-performance ray tracing features across platforms.
  • Mentor junior team members to help build their technical expertise.

Requirements:

  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
  • Outstanding mathematics and problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep understanding of graphics techniques and GPU features.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • A passion for games and cutting-edge game technology.
Interview Process

The interview process will consist of two stages:

  • 1st Stage: A conversation with the Studio Technical Director to explore your experience and career aspirations.
  • 2nd Stage: A technical interview with the Project Technical Director, where we'll take a deeper dive into your technical expertise and previous experience.
